“Beautifully captured story of friendship”

“I really enjoyed this movie. A post apocalyptic buddy road trip comedy where everyone has died of shitting themselves to death so every fart is a potential harbinger of the end. It manages to walk the tightrope of being serious enough for the drama to really work and goofy enough to get lots of laughs. ”

“This is a very fun film with a little camp, a little drama and a little humour. Horror is hard. Comedy is hard. Horror-comedy is a tragic accident waiting to happen, but this was well balanced and executed.”

“Finally a movie that doesn’t cut our needs that make us human! I almost cried when Vern was given the last roll of toilette paper as a goodbye present.”

“This is another movie that you want to watch with a great horror crowd. There's a certain sweetness blended into the horror comedy and I think that's something that you usually only see in Canadian movies. The acting is really strong, beautifully shot and an easy recommendation. I can't wait to see what is next from this team.”

“The characters are so fun to watch. Ted is the best part of the show and the actor won a well-deserved award for this one. The reason for the apocalypse was so creative and the movie was so funny, but I almost teared up at one point. I'll be talking about this one for a long time yet.”

“The characters grow on you, they're so committed to their roles that you begin to find their singular notes endearing. And it's shot really well, it manages to look more that its probable budget.”

A very funny and charming and dark post-apocalyptic story. In the beginning I was a bit afraid that the digestion humor and the over-acting of Ted would destroy the film for me but I was surprised how much the ending and the bonding of Vern and Ted would touch me.”

“The on screen chemistry between Ted and Vern really sell this film. Crazy, ridiculous concept that’s pulled off by great performances and enough fart jokes to crumble a middle school. Lots of great shots, especially the glowing keyhole. Well done.”

“ONLY INSANE STRAIGHT WHITE MEN, POOP JOKES AND ONE (1) WOMAN EXIST IN THE APOCALYPSE!!”

“On the surface, I was afraid I was getting into an hour-forty-minute bro-type (horror) comedy where sensitive moments and tension were broken by farts and really -- I mean, REALLY -- nasty-sounding diarrhea. However, I quickly realized I was watching a potential cult classic.”

“Welcome to Kittytown is a charming post-apocalyptic buddy tale. Writers/leads Darren Zimmer and Robert Bryn Mann offer a pensive yet funny take on the fall of society, excellently helmed by Doug Luciuk. Great writing, immersive production design, a lively cast, and moody cinematography pull this independent production together nicely.”
